However, I'm not really sure if that would allow you to make databases unless you used cloud variables, so there would still be significantly limited storage. base64 is just a way to encode binary content with 'printable ASCII characters', and once decoded you just get the same binary content. You could make entire databases with this! Support because of this. But these blocks could be easily abused to steal stuff so if they can reach into projects you don't own, no support. This would be nice for playing audios with large sizes and much more. However, I'm not really sure if that would allow you to make databases unless you used cloud variables, so there would still be significantly limited storage. 1 you have to Compress image first then after convert into base64. Theres a good chance that someone thats savvy enough to be looking at your page source will probably recognise it too. There is no encoding that 'reduces size.' Encodings are just mappings of bits to the character they represent. The issue with Base64 is that a Base64 string looks like a base64 string. Does converting to Base64 reduce size Basic answer gzipped base64 encoded files will be roughly comparable in file size to standard binary (jpg/png). Thus the base64 version of a file is 4/3 larger than it might be. Reallysoftuser wrote:Added more blocks for Cloud Functionality! I suspect that you will need to think more about your method of hashing if you dont want it to be decodable by the user. That is, we use bytes (which are 8-bit words) as 6-bit words. This not only increases your bandwidth bill, but also increases the download time. Does Base64 reduce size Although Base64 is a relatively efficient way of encoding binary data it will, on average still increase the file size for more than 25. But these blocks could be easily abused to steal stuff so if they can reach into projects you don't own, no support. Use some kind of compression algorithm on the base64 strings, like gzip. As such, MIME enforces a limit on line length of base 64-encoded data to 76. Reallysoftuser wrote:Added more blocks for Cloud Functionality! Base encoding can also be used in new applications that do not have legacy.
